The 10 cheapest vacation destinations in the United States

More than 100 popular vacation destinations in the US were analyzed by the website, which to arrive at the final ranking collected data based on four main criteria: the costs of meals, accommodation, transport and attractions.

The analysis was based on average meal and transportation costs from the Numbeo website; average attraction costs based on top Google recommendations and hotel prices searched on the platform Booking.com.

The site shows the daily costs of one person, but as holidays are often shared, they also have the costs of a week's holiday for a family of four.

Daily spending averages US$214 per person (US$112 for accommodation and US$94 for meals), with the cost of a week-long adventure reaching US$3,762.5 for a family of four.

Oklahoma City is the most populous city in the state of Oklahoma, maintaining a modern feel but with Old West tradition and a lot of cowboy themes. It is also known as the “equestrian show capital of the world” and offers different types of museums to visitors. Its low price compared to other major centers in the United States is also a positive factor in receiving many tourists.

Daily costs are $209 per person, including meals for $73 and lodging for $118. A week-long trip costs $3,688 for a family of four.

Cape Cod, in the state of Massachusetts, USA, is a very popular summer destination in the United States, sought after by those looking for beaches and low expenses. The sixth cheapest holiday destination in the United States, according to the survey, is Sedona, a city surrounded by red rock mountains, canyons and pine forests in the state of Arizona.
