The biggest gastronomic festival in the world starts tomorrow in São Paulo

The eighth edition of the Taste São Paulo Festival begins this Friday (24/05), the São Paulo version of what is considered the biggest gastronomic event in the world! If you like to eat well and want to try different dishes, plan to go to the event that will once again be held at Parque Villa-Lobos, in São Paulo.

The festival will take place on the 24th, 25th, 26th and 31st of May, as well as the 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th and 9th of June. There will be three weekends of lots of food and entertainment at Parque Villa-Lobos, close to Roda Rico, the largest Ferris wheel in Brazil.

Taste São Paulo Festival

Taste Festivals is the largest gastronomic festival in the world, which takes place in 13 cities around the globe, such as Paris, Dubai, Milan, Athens, Amsterdam, Dublin, Cape Town, Melbourne, Sydney, LondonRome and Brasiliain addition to São Paulo.

During the 9 days of the festival in the capital of São Paulo, visitors will be able to sample more than 120 dish options, including starters, mains and desserts, from 31 restaurants and bars. Each establishment will be present with at least four dishes, three of which are already part of the restaurant's menu and one that will be prepared especially for the festival.

The prices of the dishes vary between R$20 and R$50, but don't get too excited if you find the prices of some foods cheap: the dishes weigh around 100 to 120g each, so be prepared to try more than one depending on of your hunger. The idea of ​​the festival, in fact, is exactly this: offering smaller dishes for visitors to try different options.

According to the organization, there will also be several vegetarian and vegan options, as well as different drinks.

Taste São Paulo Festival attractions

In addition to the more than 30 gastronomic establishments present at the festival, visitors will also be able to enjoy other experiences at the event. Check out some spaces:

  • Fire Pit by Santander – here the idea is to follow the classes of different chefs preparing grilled dishes. There will be grilled cashew moqueca, chorizo ​​with gorgonzola and roasted potatoes with gruyère, grilled octopus rice and much more!
  • Kitchen Talk by Electrolux – this experience is a class in which apprentices get their hands dirty. In addition to learning how to make delicious dishes with renowned chefs, there is also a tasting afterwards.
  • Taste Winery – the idea of ​​this space is to have pairing classes (alcoholic drinks with food) and taste different drinks (beers, wines and mixed drinks) with a team of sommeliers.
  • Gourmet Kitchen by Artesano – some more classes for visitors to learn quick and easy-to-make dishes. There are everything from mini meatballs to cake in a jar.
  • Clear Music Stage – bands and DJs will perform during the nine days of the festival.

Tickets for Taste Festivals

Tickets for the Taste São Paulo Festival can be purchased in advance at site with prices starting from R$65 (full price). Santander customers have a 30% discount. In-person purchase at the box office will only be available during event hours.

Tickets give access to the event and its common areas and also allow access to free lectures and classes – but you must register in advance at the venue; Spaces for classes are limited.
