Who is MrBeast

James Stephen “Jimmy” Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is an American content creator, businessman and philanthropist who has accumulated millions, both on his YouTube channel and in his bank account.
His journey on the platform began at the age of 13, with videos about games, until it went viral in 2017. The content gained even more prominence with super productions and challenges involving money.
Videos like “Do you prefer the Lamborghini or the house?”, “The last one to leave the circle wins $500.00”, “I spent 50 hours buried alive” and even a version of Round 6, the famous Netflix series, are popular on MrBeast channel.
Today, at 26 years old, his numbers are impressive. He owns the largest YouTube channel, with 258 million subscribers. James was also chosen by Forbes as the biggest influencer in the world in 2023with revenues of US$82 million (around R$400 million) that year.
In 2020, the creator also started to venture into the food market, opening the burger restaurant MrBeast Burger. The venture was a success, serving all U.Sin addition to some countries in the EuropeLatin America, Asia and now Brazil.
MrBeast Burger: what to expect from the burger restaurant
Just like its creator, MrBeast Burger is successful on digital, with orders made exclusively through the brand's app or partner platforms. In Brazil, those responsible for delivery are iFood and Rappi.
The menu is simple, with 2 combos (snack, potato and drink), 4 types of burgers, 1 sandwich, 3 side dishes and a dessert option. Burger prices vary between R$12.90 and R$39.90.

Most follow the classic “bread, meat and cheese”, accompanied by onions, sauces or pickles. Very safe combinations! There are also two more different options, one with the bread inverted and the other with French fries inside the snack.

What was our experience with MrBeast Burger like?
The biggest YouTuber in the world opens branches of his burger restaurant in several countries, is the flavor or the curiosity of his fans the recipe for this success? I placed my order hoping for the first alternative, after all, it would be great to eat well on a Wednesday night (thanks to my editor Denis Carvalho for the excuse to order a burger during the week). I twisted it, but it didn't happen. The experience with MrBeast wasn't the worst, but it wasn't by far the best.

It is important to point out that many of the considerations made here may reflect a busy first day, such as, for example, the three and a half hours of waiting for the order to be prepared and delivered. When asked, the answer was that the volume of orders was high, and I don't doubt it; Media phenomena can overwhelm even the most experienced teams.

But talking about food, which is what matters and would make all the waiting worth it in the end, our choices were the Beast Style Burger, Karl's Deluxe Burger, Beast Style Fries and the Brownie. We received everything well packaged, in “very young” boxes, which will please the YouTuber’s target audience.

Beast Style Fries

Description: “Crispy fries with spicy seasoning (calabrian pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic, salt and a touch of lemon), topped with cheddar cheese, sautéed onions, pickles, mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard”.
The fries were very crispy and golden, the seasoning was delicious and the spiciness was very mild. The cheddar and sautéed onion were timidly present, very timid indeed, almost not present. The pickle was the highlight, it was very tasty.
Beast Style Burger

Description: “Two 90g caramelized smash burgers with house seasoning, two slices of cheddar cheese, pickles, sautéed onions, mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard, all on a brioche bun. A great snack!”
Bestial can have many connotations, and in this case, they were positive. The snack was delicious, with an intense flavor from the condiments and onion, which is welcome for my palate. The brioche bread was a bit heavy. The assembly was beautiful and it arrived warm.
Karl's Deluxe Burger

Description: “A 90g caramelized smash burger with house seasoning, two slices of cheddar cheese, sautéed onion and toasted upside-down brioche bun that makes everything better!”
What sets this burger apart is its upside-down bun, which they say makes everything better, which I'm not sure I agree with. The brioche had the taste and texture of grilled bread, like a bakery breakfast (which are delicious), but with the meat, cheese and onion, it ended up being a little lost. The impression is that they wanted a burger that would attract attention, but in terms of flavor it is not memorable at all. There are better options on the menu.
Brownie

Description: “Chocolate brownie (1 unit)”
They were brief in their description and I won't waste words on it either. Heavy texture and floury taste. He wouldn't ask again.
Price
The total value of the bill, including delivery, was R$111.39. This price is average for burgers in São Paulo. Considering it's a celebrity restaurant, I expected the prices to be higher, but I thought it was fair. I left very satisfied with the meal, and no, I didn't eat it all myself. Which gives an average of R$55 per person.
Final thoughts on MrBeast
The biggest YouTuber in the world does not intend to also carry the title of best burger in the world. Because, in this dispute, there are countless more interesting options. Only in São Paulo, snack bars like Z DeliO La BorratxeriaO Bullguer and the Meats They are already a tough match for the newcomer, who needs a boost if they want to gain space in the competition. Still, for MrBeast fans, watching the videos eating his burger is a full experience; for us, curious people attracted by the title of “largest in the world”, once to see it is enough.
